We represent labor organizations whose members are teachers or other school personnel. We also represent individual teachers, principals, and other school personnel whose employment or certification is in jeopardy
Our attorneys have represented the Baltimore Teachers Union for more than 25 years. We provide advice and counsel on operations, litigation, and strategic issues concerning the interests of the teachers and school personnel. As a result, we are very familiar with the unique issues facing educators in Maryland’s public schools. We represent educators in disciplinary proceedings and in grievances against school systems. We negotiate on behalf of educators. For example, Keith J. Zimmerman was instrumental in the negotiation of the innovative collective bargaining agreement developed in Baltimore City in 2010. We also litigate on behalf of teachers and teachers unions. We represent individual educators in an array of matters relating to their employment.
