KSC Law, has a long history of serving labor unions
Who we represent
We serve as counsel to both private and public sector labor unions based in and around Maryland. We also serve as local counsel to national and international unions. Our clients represent a wide-range of employees including firefighters, teachers, city and county employees, retail workers, health care workers, food production workers, law enforcement officers, state employees, and many others.
What we do
We represent unions in contract negotiations, representation cases, unfair labor practice proceedings, discipline and discharge cases, interest arbitration and rights arbitration, and in impasse and fact-finding proceedings. We counsel unions with compliance and governance matters. We provide advice on legislative proposals about collective bargaining, public financing, and the particular interests of our clients.
We practice before:
- the National Labor Relations Board;
- Maryland’s trial and appellate courts;
- the Maryland State Labor Relations Board;
- the Maryland State Higher Education Labor Relations Board;
- Local and state administrative entities; and
- arbitrators and arbitration boards.
Why we succeed
Although the unions we represent encompass a wide range of workers, work environments, professions, and employers, we share with our clients a common goal to ensure safe, just, and dignified employment. We are proud of the work we do. To help our clients meet their goals, we take a creative approach to issues, utilizing our depth of experience to fashion appropriate strategies through litigation, negotiation, and advocacy.
